Monday Night Brewing

Monday Night Brewing – A Unique and Inviting Brewery Experience

We recently visited Monday Night Brewing and were immediately impressed by its open and expressive layout. The space offers a mix of seating options, from cozy couches to bar seating, making it an inviting spot for both casual hangouts and socializing.

As we settled in, we had the chance to chat with a few locals who recommended checking out the outdoor area, known as The Boiler Room. It did not disappoint—featuring a fire pit reminiscent of the one at Arrington Vineyard, it added a warm and relaxing touch to the experience. What stood out most was the brewery’s unique aesthetic, particularly the broken brick walls, which gave the space a rustic yet modern charm.

Of course, the highlight of any brewery visit is the beer. Jason tried the Bourbon Barrel Aged Scottish Ale, a bold and flavorful choice, and later sampled the Space Lettuce IPA—without disappointment. Phebe opted for the Michelada, made with a Taco Tuesday Mexican Lager, which added a fun and flavorful twist to the lineup.

Overall, Monday Night Brewing offers a comfortable and engaging atmosphere, perfect for enjoying great beer and good company. We’ll definitely be back!

Arrington Vineyard Review

Our first visit to Arrington Vineyard was an amazing experience! The views of the vineyard were absolutely beautiful, making for a perfect, relaxing day. We enjoyed a red and white wine flight, paired with smoked Gouda cheese and salami, which complemented the wines wonderfully. One of the highlights was the cozy fire pit, allowing us to enjoy the outdoors while staying warm. The atmosphere was inviting, and we’re already looking forward to returning in May. When we come back, we plan to bring a tent with some chairs and our own picnic snacks to make the experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great vineyard experience!

Avenue Pub is a gem in New Orleans for anyone who appreciates a great selection of beers and cocktails. This place has something for every palate, whether you’re a craft beer enthusiast or someone who enjoys a well-crafted cocktail.

One of the cool features at Avenue Pub is the ease of ordering food—you can simply scan a QR code right from your table, place your order, and then pick it up at the designated counter. This setup is convenient and keeps the flow of the place nice and easy.

Even though I wasn’t particularly hungry, I decided to try their popcorn chicken with ranch dressing, and I’m glad I did—it was absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect snack if you’re just looking for something to nibble on while you enjoy your drink.

The atmosphere at Avenue Pub is lively and loud, but not in an overwhelming way. Despite the energy of the place, my friends and I had no trouble playing a card game at our table, which was a nice bonus.

Daisy Dukes

Review: Daisy Dukes Restaurant, New Orleans

Daisy Dukes is a quintessential New Orleans spot that perfectly captures the city’s love for comfort food with a Cajun twist. The restaurant exudes a casual, laid-back vibe, making it a favorite for both locals and tourists.

If you’re an early riser, you’re in for a treat—the biscuits here are hands down the best in the morning. Light, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth perfect, they’re a dreamy start to your day. However, if you’re looking for that same biscuit magic in the afternoon, you might be slightly disappointed, as they tend to lose some of their morning charm.

But don’t let that stop you from visiting later in the day, because Daisy Dukes shines with its other offerings. The po’boys are simply awesome, packed with flavor and the perfect amount of crunch. Whether you go for the shrimp, roast beef, or catfish, you can’t go wrong.

Their gumbo and jambalaya are quintessentially New Orleans—rich, hearty, and brimming with authentic flavors that transport you straight to the bayou. The fried green tomatoes are another must-try, delivering a deliciously tangy and crispy bite every time.

Overall, Daisy Dukes is a solid choice if you’re craving good Southern food in New Orleans. Just make sure to swing by in the morning if you’re in the mood for those unforgettable biscuits!
